Ethically traded ingredients have been sourced at a fair price to local famers and are produced under standards designed to prevent and end poverty, sweatshop labour conditions and environmental degradation.
Products that come to mind when hearing Ethically Traded are often chocolate and coffee. Skin care products are increasingly containing fair trade ingredients. Dr. Bronners soap is a well-known ethical natural skin care range containing many fair-trade ingredients. BioBalance Argan Oil has a wonderful story of fairly trading the Argan oil from a community in Morocco.
